The Ancaster Phoenix Youth Soccer Club was created in 2007, along with Special Olympics Ontario, we are proud to provide a program to Special Needs boys and girls from 4 years to 14 years old who can meet the Special Olympics participation criteria and others with disabilities who will be considered on an individual basis.
The primary objective of the Special Olympics Ontario is to contribute to the physical, social and psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities through positive, successful experiences in sport.
Special Olympics Ontario Athlete Criteria
Any Individual, eight years of age or older, who has an intellectual disability is eligible for participation in Special Olympics. Individuals who have multiple disabilities are also eligible to participate so long as one of the disabilities is an intellectual disability. All Special Olympics athletes must agree to observe and abide by the SOC Sports Rules ans SOO's policies and procedures.
